4 Van Nuys, CA Van Nuys, CA Full-time Full-time $29 - $41 an hour $29 - $41 an hour The Physcial Therapy Assistant is responsible for treating patients and assisting the Physical Therapist, Director, CRM, physician, et al in any tasks associated with the rehabilitation of SCOI patients.
Essential functions of the position are:
1.
Treat using accepted treatment modalities and procedures geared to progressing patients toward meeting their functional goals per the treatment plan of care.
2.
Able to assess response to treatment and able to make necessary changes/progressions as warranted.
3.
Able to accurately communicate to the physical therapist patient findings to determine direction of treatment.
4.
Able to safely deliver treatment considering the physical requirements of the job.
5.
Able to complete all documentation the day services are rendered.
6.
Meets minimum productivity standards set by CRM.
7.
Attend a minimum of 30 contact hours per year of continuing education that can include up to 10 contact hours received through SCOI sponsored educational opportunities.
8.
Fulfill duties assigned by the PT or Director.
9.
Markets the CRM to outside referral sources as needed.
10.
Assures adherence to SCOI and CRM policy.
11.
Assists in the training of clinical and support staff.
12.
Able to complete tasks on the computer utilizing various software programs.
13.
Maintain their licensure as issued by the State of California.
14.
Maintain in good standing with the Office of Inspector General and California PT Board.
15.
Maintain current CPR certification.
16.
Other duties as assigned.
