Highly proficient in the inspection, repair, assembly and testing of an aircraft Expertise with technical documents and manuals and acts as a resource to other A&P Mechanics Acts as liaison between customers and A&P Mechanics Determine maintenance sequences and techniques Guides and trains other levels of A&P Mechanics Pre-requisites:
A&P Mechanic experience, corporate jet experience preferred High school diploma or equivalent Airframe and Power plant (A&P) License Incoming Inspection and Operational Tests (20%):
Performs initial visual inspection and routine maintenance on the aircraft and its components Runs functional, operational and mechanical tests on the aircraft Identifies discrepancies to be addresses or fixed Dismantle and Repair (20%):
Dismantle and remove aircraft and components Evaluates removed components for serviceability and documents discrepancies Clean any parts or components as required Completes schedules maintenance and any necessary repairs/modifications of the aircraft Kit and Reassemble (20%):
Ensures all parts and components are ready and available Reinstall and test aircraft components Reassembles aircraft Performs operational checks and engine runs to ensure air worthiness Document and signs off on all work throughout each process Follows Manuals and Technical Data (10%):
Follows maintenance manuals throughout each process Completes inspections in accordance to original equipment manufacturer manuals Lead (50%):
Leads and supervises a maintenance crew of 3-6 technicians through all levels of Gulfstream scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to include:
12/24/36/72-month inspections, 5000 landing inspections, engine changes and discrepancy trouble shooting.
At times will work multiple aircraft.
Manages labor hours, materials, and crew members efficiently.
Responsible for the on-time completion of their work orders while maintaining attention to detail, excellent customer service and quality workmanship.
Working with the Maintenance Supervisor, keeps customers up to date on the status of their aircraft.
As time permits, learns on the job the duties and responsibilities of the Maintenance Supervisor Working with Human Resources, participates in the interviewing and selection of their staff.
Writes and delivers effective employee performance evaluations and conducts coaching sessions with crew members as needed.
Responsible for the on-going development and training of their staff.
Completes in-flight evaluations with a pilot or instructor on board following maintenance or repair work; develops an itemized parts/labor breakdown of all maintenance accomplished on each aircraft during the preceding calendar month.
