As a Dispatch Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient coordination of transportation operations, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Duties - Analyze shipping and receiving needs to determine optimal transportation methods - Coordinate with drivers, carriers, and customers to schedule and track shipments - Utilize transportation management systems to optimize routes and ensure on-time deliveries - Monitor GPS tracking systems to track the progress of shipments and address any issues or delays - Oversee data entry and documentation related to transportation activities - Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction - Develop and implement transportation plans that align with company goals and objectives - Manage a team of dispatchers, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations Skills - Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions - Experience with transportation planning and logistics - Proficient in data entry and documentation management - Familiarity with GPS tracking systems and transportation management systems (TMS) - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment - Knowledge of SyteLine or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) software is a plus If you are a motivated individual with a passion for logistics and transportation management, we encourage you to apply for the position of Dispatch Manager.
