Leading independent producer and distributor of programming in the worldwide television marketplace is seeking an experienced Director Finance & Accounting who excels in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Requirements:
Must have Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, MBA a plus
CPA is highly desired
Minimum 5-8 years' prior Accounting/Finance experience with 2-3 years in a leadership position
Minimum 3 years' experience in the Entertainment industry
Experience supervising an audit/review
Public accounting experience in a Big 4 ideal
Solid working understanding of film production and distribution accounting practices in line with ASC926, strong knowledge of GAAP
Understanding of and experience with foreign currencies and accounting
Skilled with PCs, accounting software, and MS Office including advanced Excel skills
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Maintain overall system of accounts, books and records, manage daily cash flow
Ensure accurate and timely financials are in compliance with US GAAP standards
Manage MOR process including quarterly cross-departmental meeting
Ensure compliance with internal controls and all federal, state and local corporate, payroll and other taxes and regulations
Coordinate all audit-related activities
Manage the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, payment of payroll, commissions, and expenses
Supervise team members, including hiring and managing performanceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
